PTO clutch adjustment.

hi all. Is there any amount of adjustment that i can apply to the clutch as i feel that the clutch is beginning to slip.and how do you apply the adjustment? Its a YT 3600.

Also, and if required.... I have a spare motor that has a clutch on it....does anyone know hoe to get the thing off...is it CW or CCW? and how is it best to hold the crank still?

The clearance in the pto should be 0.3 to 0.5 mm.  You turn the 3 nuts evenly to get the clearance measured at 3 points as in the "adjustment for wear" picture of a similar pto in the link below.  If you need to remove it, the nut should unscrew CCW, then the pto slides off the keyed shaft.  I’ve been jamming a rod into the universal joint on the driveshaft to keep the motor from turning – there must be a better way, as this could damage the u-joint – but I move things gently, and so far so good.  On the spare motor you might be able to hold the rear shaft with vise grips.  Ideally you are supposed to use a special Yamaha tool for holding the flywheel – but who has one?
