Slow packing and high error rates are killing my store growth

Sahim
Three weeks behind on a big batch of orders. I run a small online shop and packing by hand is just not keeping up anymore, plus I keep making mistakes on addresses and quantities. Is there a smarter way to handle this without hiring more people?

At my warehouse desk last winter, I was in the same spot, misreading printed pick lists and doubling up on items. Switching to software that talks directly to the shop cut the address errors down noticeably, though I cannot say the exact number off the top of my head. The manual steps were the real bottleneck, not the staff count.

I recently completely overhauled my shipping system, and the difference in daily productivity was immediately noticeable. The main problem is that manual order picking breaks down once the volume exceeds about fifty orders per day. In this case, it's more practical to consider automated order fulfillment rather than simply hiring additional staff. A comparison of software by key categories depending on store type can be found here https://easync.io/articles/best-order-fulfillment-software-for-ecommerce-dropshipping/ The real benefit lies not only in speed but also in reducing errors, as incorrect shipments cost more in returns than the time saved.
