YT6700 PTO slipping

Daffoml
Hello,

I was mowing along fine the other day, and after hitting a rut, the blades stopped turning.

When I engage the PTO, I hear a 'chattering', and, if the deck belt is removed, the pulley spins, however I can grab it with my hand and stop it.

I've had the main seal leaking for quite a while, and I'm wondering if oil finally found it's way in the right place to make it slip.

Does anyone have an idea how I might clean it?  I'm not sure what I want to shoot in there. I was thinking brake cleaner, but that may be too harmful to the windings in the coil.  I tried high pressure air, but that didn't seem to work.

Does it actually come apart?  I can't seem to find anything that talks about dis assembly of it.

You may have sheared off some internal pins for the PTO. See the most recent discussion on PTO from Tommy!!
