YT6700 engine surges, but smooths out under load.

Hi, just purchased this YT6700 mower. It's really in good condition. Will go thru the usual things to fix the surge. Just wondering if anyone out there had the same problem. Thanks for your input-----Russ

Back again. Went thru the usual. Cleaned air filter, checked plugs, checked fuel filter, cleaned
carb and reset to factory specs. Someone had backed out the pilot screw 2-1/4 turns. Reset it
to 1-3/4 turns. Engine now runs smooth. Not sure what fixed it, but think the pilot screw had
something to do with it. On another note, this tractor is in good shape. Does anyone know
what they are worth. Thanks for your input, Russ

Sorry for the late reply Russ, as I just saw this post. Glad you got the carb issue figured out.
The "what's it worth" question is harder to nail down, as it depends on your area, demand, etc.
A good way to gage value is to look thru your local Craigslist lawn tractor listings, and see what similar machines are going for. The one thing that is driving the price of these machines now is scarcity...

Having same issue with yt 6700 after replacing coils, ran fine before.  Where is pilot screw on carb

Screw is right on top. Easily accessible.
