YT6800 low power when mowing uphill

I recently was gifted a YT6800 and with a little tinkering, new ignition switch due to no key, oil change, and new plugs, I got the old girl running. The problem I am having is a lack of power on inclines while the PTO is engaged. Any ideas?

Fill up the reservoir under the seat, better yet, drain and refill the fluid. There is a few how to's on this site.

check all the wiring connections and scrape all the green corrosion off them. thats what i did to my 6800 when the engine dies when i put the pto in action. these connections are very old and need cleaned.
