this is an update about the corrosion problems i have been dealing with on and off for about 2 years. in my last post i had jumped the seat switch because of a start no start problem and the engine shutting off when the pto is switched on. cleaned all safety switches and recharged the battery and everything worked good as i said in my last post. couple days later everything did not work good when i tried to mow. pto shut off engine when switched on. i suspect the seat switch as did a couple other members on this forum. had to suck it up and buy a new seat switch which i think there are only about 2 left in the country. 100 bucks plus the ride to my house. as i wait for the switch to arrive i went ahead and wired up a relay and installed a stand alone switch for the pto. everything works good with the stand alone pto switch. i have read about these problems and hoped it would not happen to my mower but here we are with the problems of an old mower. i will install the new seat switch when i have some time on my hands but the current setup works good now. these electric problems are going to plague these mowers forever and just wanted to give my 2 cents on how to keep them running. will give an update when i install the new seat switch but right now i'm good to go.
