yt3600 pto problems

hi,my pto only comes on when i over rev the moter. i do this by moving the govener arm on the moter. i have 13 volts after the switch. i also hooked it up to battery...bypassing the
switch and wiring....still didnt come on at normal rpm.
anyone out there have an idea i could try???? or do i need a price of a new pto solonide???

I also have that problem with my yt3600 after it has been run for a while.  When it's cold it energizes just fine.  I recently picked up a yt6800 from a gentleman that worked at a John Deere dealership and I mentioned that pto problem on the other machine.  Before I drove off with the 6800 he looked at the pto solenoid and told me there is a way to adjust it as it wears to overcome that problem.  I have not checked it out since I got home but now that, according to him, it is possible maybe you can figure it out and let me know.

 i got the pto working good as new!!!
it was just like you said... out of adjustment. i dont have a shop manual but i tightened the
three clutch nuts...two faces. it works good as new. thanks for the idea.
