YT6700

Meofouse
New to the board here. I just purchased a used 17HP YT6700. Everything works fine but the previous owner claims that the transmission slips after it warms up. Anyone have a reason for this? Maybe just an oil change and cleaning?

Hey welcome, nice to have you here.
I would strongly suggest changing the hydrostatic oil and have another go at it.
However it most likely is seals that have become hard and do not hold oil pressure or just plain leak.
Unfortunately this would mean getting into some rebuilding of the transmission to make it 100% agian.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try the flush first and if that works I'm perkin' if not the rebuild with seals and o-rings is not a problem, I can't remember not having grease under my fingernails

It may just need to be topped off,
3-YT3600's, 2-YT 6800's, 1-YT6700 for parts.
