I've been banging my head against the wall with this one. I've got a YT6800 that just does not want to run right. It starts up and idles just fine, but when you put it under a load, it sounds like it drops a cylinder. I pull the plug wires off and it does make a difference (meaning it is running on both). I have pulled the gas supply line and it doesn't get better either so I know the float works.
I do notice it sprays gas out the carb REALLY badly. I assumed the intake valve wasn't closing, but I've tried reseating it and everything. I did put new rings and gaskets in with no luck. The only thing I can think of is maybe I have the cam one tooth off. They timing marks weren't perfectly clear between the three sprockets...
Hmmm, not quite sure the timing would make the gas come out the carb...sounds more like the float is stuck open, or the seat isn't quite sealing possibly. Does it only spray gas out when it is running? I guess if it was the float, it would be leaking by when not running too... I hate carb problems....
I think your on the right track there...I haven't done much with the timing, but from what I've read before, that sounds correct. Looks like you might have to open it back up & check it out.
I had the same problem with mine after pulling off the fly wheel it was one of the coils being bad glad I had a parts tractor

Let me know if you have any ideas.
